Location: Poland, remote

Salary: 12-18k PLN on B2B or 10k - 14.9k PLN gross on a contract of employment (UoP)

As a Financial Controller, you’ll be part of our six-person Finance & Operations team, collaborating closely with another Financial Controller and reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

Your main focus will be on financial controlling, reporting, planning, analysis, and cost management. You’ll make sure the numbers are accurate and reliable, monitor financial performance, and help the business understand what is behind the results.

As the Financial Controller, you will:

  • Control the financial operations of the company.

  • Analyze financial data, build financial models, and draw conclusions and recommendations to improve business performance.

  • Monitor product and customer profitability.

  • Create management reports and financial forecasts.

  • Manage the budgeting process and control budget realization, with close monitoring and anticipation of budget overruns.

  • Participate in monthly reporting meetings with C-level stakeholders, presenting the conclusions from your analysis and preparing meeting notes.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to help them understand cost variances and the financial implications of their decisions.

  • Manage app spend, with a high focus on LLM-related costs.

  • Control accounting and bookkeeping functions.

  • Coordinate day-to-day document acceptance and the payments process with the accounting team, and assist other teams with related financial matters.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports.

  • Improve financial policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with the other Financial Controller to ensure smooth ownership of the controlling function.

Job requirements

You are the perfect fit if you:

  • Bring at least 2/3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Have strong experience in management reporting and financial model preparation.

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel, Power Query, and VBA.

  • Have strong financial expertise and an interest in understanding the business behind the numbers.

  • Have the ability to investigate financial results, identify key drivers and variances, and draw clear conclusions from your analysis.

  • Feel comfortable working with business stakeholders and explaining financial topics in a clear, practical way.

  • Take a proactive, methodical, and hands-on approach, constantly looking for ways to improve how things work and bring new ideas.

  • Feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can easily adapt to changing priorities.

  • Have fluent English for day-to-day business and finance communication.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in SaaS or Big 4;

  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
